Concord Elementary School
Concord Elementary School was constructed as the Garnet Valley School District's first green building. MAROTTA/MAIN ARCHITECTS added green components including geothermal heat pumps, building massing, natural light, rain gardens, and renewable materials. The school is designed around a "spine concept", a central grouping of specialty spaces used by all students. Classrooms are clustered to create open gathering areas for student collaboration.
