Breidenbaugh Hall
Following the relocation of the Chemistry Department, the interior of the building was gutted, abated, and renovated for receipt of the English Department, Asian Studies Department, Film Studies, Foreign Language Center, and Writing Center. The first and second floors, used by the film and Asian studies departments included classrooms with interior windows opening into the hallway and renovations to the film studies’ theater. The second floor was tied to the first floor with a two story atrium. The first floor was redesigned to house the buildings mechanical spaces, language center, and study center.
The third floor and attic were dedicated to the English department. The attic’s exposed metal beams were incorporated into the design of the floor to create offices, conference rooms and study areas for the English department. The third floor was used as classroom space.
