Jim is the BIM Coordinator at MAROTTA/MAIN Architects. He is involved with projects from beginning to end, creating the initial BIM model in Schematic Design and continuously developing it through post-construction as-built drawings.
Prior to joining MAROTTA/MAIN Architects, Jim was the BIM Coordinator for a 100 person firm and before that began his career working on a drawing board. Throughout his career he has welcomed the introduction of computer-aided drafting tools. He is now an expert using the latest 3D design software to implement building information modeling.
He utilizes the BIM model to produce digital renderings and animations to help our clients visualize design concepts. During bidding and construction Jim continues to be involved with project administration through construction completion. Jim's portfolio is predominantly comprised of K-12 and higher education projects.
