Lincoln Middle School
Lincoln Middle School, constructed in 1962, was facing structural, accessibility, MEP and capacity challenges. The program requirements at the school had outgrown the building, pushing the sixth grade classrooms to an adjacent District building. After exploring different options with the community and faculty, the decision was made to renovate and add to the existing school building. To resolve the various challenges and consolidate the students into one building, MAROTTA/MAIN Architects designed a new three-story classroom wing and unified arts wing. Renovations to the existing gym, auditorium and administration wing are also addressed with the project.
